Milan are currently preparing for the 19th Trofeo Tim Cup, an annual triangular tournament between the two Milanese outfits, themselves and Inter, as well as Juventus.

In the lead up to that tournament, and the new Serie A campaign that is scheduled to commence next weekend, the coach of the Rossoneri, Leonardo, has hit back at critics who believe that his side will struggle this season.

“Time will tell in regards to how good Milan are,” Leonardo explained to the Milan Channel.

“There is a good sense of unity and feeling within the team. It’s a really good group of players.

“Now we must turn this into positive results on the field in the league.”

The Brazilian coach, who is expected to give the club’s new signings in Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Flavio Roma an opportunity this weekend, closed the interview by outlining his aim for the upcoming campaign.

He said, “I always aim to give my all with passion and enthusiasm. Again though, we will have to wait and see how far this club can go.”
